Our Professional Development Certificates do not require admission to a degree program: you register as a non-matriculating student. Our flexible, modular approach empowers you to earn industry-relevant credentials, reducing downtime and accelerating career growth.
This certificate program intentionally integrates foundational project management principles with Lean Six Sigma methodologies, helping you gain the skills to drive operational excellence from project kickoff to closeout. Courses in the program include:

1) Intro to Project Management
This course covers the full project lifecycle, teaching you how to take a project from idea to execution with discipline and professionalism. 🎯 You’ll explore project roles, tools, phases, and team dynamics while learning to lead with strategy and structure.
2) Lean Six Sigma Foundations
Lean Six Sigma is the gold standard for process improvement 🏆. In this course, you’ll explore the DMAIC methodology and learn how to identify inefficiencies, reduce waste, and apply data to solve problems. 📊 You’ll work through tools like process mapping, Pareto charts, and control charts—preparing you for your Yellow Belt credential.

If you later decide to apply to and are admitted to a Newstate University degree program, the credits you've already earned will be reviewed and can be counted towards your degree in alignment with our standard credit evaluation process.
You must have a minimum of a high school diploma or GED to enroll in this Professional Development Program.
